Club Division (Travel Team) Try-Outs for Fall 2013 / Spring 2014 are coming up!

Tryouts for the Monroe Club Division (i.e. Travel Team) for Fall of 2013 and Spring 2014 season are fast approaching!  What is the Club Division?  It is a soccer development program geared towards players who want to play at a higher competitive level, while keeping it fun.  The level of play will range from extremely competitive, premier teams, to lower competitiveness. Typically there is something for everyone! MTSC Club Teams play league games throughout Central New Jersey in the Fall and the Spring.

Interested in Coaching in Club Division for the Fall 2013 / Spring 2014 Season?

If you are interested in coaching in the Club Division for Fall of 2013 and Spring 2014 seasons, applications are now being accepted.  Please download the Coach Application form and send it to the Club Division Director at travel@monroesoccer.com.

FIELD USAGE

Want to know where to practice?

Until further notice, all practices for all levels and divisions should be held at Thompson Park.  Please avoid practicing on a lined field, as these fields are being reserved for games and the tournament (for now).  Since the grass is just now coming in, overuse of the lined fields will destroy the grass and make the fields solid dirt for the remainder of the season if they are used now.

Coaches can practice in any open space at Thompson Park where there are no lines.

Prospect Plains fields will be opening up within the next couple of weeks, but these practices will still be held at Thompson Park.

As additional fields become available for practices, we will update this site and our Facebook page.

Confused as to the different programs in MTSC?
Below is the breakdown

In Town Soccer Program, previously known as Recreational Soccer – A traditional style of program, where all coaching and training is carried out by volunteer coaches. The program is specifically designed to be as low cost as possible. Games are all played in-town with the exception of the Seniors who play in the 3M Rec League. Our recreational program at Monroe is aimed at players aged 4 years old through 17 years of age and is open to any player.

Club Division Program, previously known as Travel Program – A program for more competitive players within the soccer club which starts at U8 and goes through to U19. Travel programs are typically slightly more expensive as they include tournaments, higher referee fees, and professional trainers.
Player Training Academy Program (PTA) – This is a supplemental training program and not to replace In-Town or Club Division.  For players aged 3-14 years, who want more soccer-related education. Program follows a curriculum matrix designed to focus on the individual player. All training is carried out by a professional trainer.
PARKING at Thompson Park

There is NO PARKING allowed on any grass area at Thompson Park, except along Perrineville Road on Sundays (behind the tree line).  There is absolutely NO PARKING along Fir Drive (road that brings you into the park).

All cars must use the designated parking areas during the week, regardless of which field their child is playing.  These are the rules for use of Thompson Park, as determined by the County.  Anyone not adhering to these rules will be ticketed by the Park Rangers.

It is the coach’s responsibility to ensure that parents park in appropriate areas.
